Wicklow Uplands Council is committed to operating and delivering the highest standards of governance practices. In keeping with the Charities Governance Code, we regularly review our governance structures and arrangements to ensure that they meet, or exceed, best practice obligations.

The Council’s Board is responsible for the leadership, oversight, control, development and long-term success of the Council, its various projects and initiatives and its core objectives. It is also responsible for instilling the appropriate culture, values and behaviour throughout the organisation and its relationship with members, partners and stakeholders.

The appointment of the auditors for Wicklow Uplands Council takes place annually by election from our members at our AGM. The current auditors, as appointed in July 2024 are:
