Habitats
There are a diverse range of important habitats within the Wicklow Uplands: blanket bog, heath and upland grasslands.
Flora and Fauna
Deer are very common in the uplands and Wicklow has one of the highest deer populations in the country.
Archaeology
The earliest settlers arrive in Ireland about 9,000 years ago. These people were hunters, gathers and fishers.
