‘Let’s Develop Our Vision For Our Community’ Event Series

Wicklow County Council and the County Wicklow Participation Network have announced a series of countywide events to take place in the coming weeks. Titled: ‘Let’s Develop Our Vision For Our Community’, the consultation and discussion-based events, which also includes a Zoom event for those unable to attend one of the five live events, are open to all community groups and interested parties and will assist greatly to inform in the development of the new Co Wicklow Local Economic & Community Plan (LECP) and the preparation the new Co Wicklow PPN Vision for Community Wellbeing Statement.

With all events taking place between 7-9pm, the full schedule is:

Monday, May 9th – An Tairseach Ecology Centre, The Dominican College, Wicklow
Wednesday, May 11th – The Olds School House, Church Road, Delgany
Monday, May 16th – The Parish Centre, Baltinglass
Wednesday, May 18th – The Town Hall, Bray
Monday, May 23rd – Árus Lorcáin, Castle Park, Arklow
Wednesday, May 25th – Online, via Zoom

The Local Economic & Community Plan is an important 6-year policy that will set out the aims, objectives and actions needed to promote and support economic and community development for Co. Wicklow.

These meetings offer an important opportunity for everyone, young and old, in Co. Wicklow to engage and share thoughts, and in so doing, ensuring that representative organisations and individuals are working towards a shared vision for the county.

To encourage contributions from across Wicklow’s diverse communities, the organisers have also asked that details of these events are shared widely. Food and refreshments will also be available.
